Frequently Asked Questions

New to FlexTennis? Here are answers to the questions players ask most often. For the complete scoring and conduct details, see the League Rules.

Sign in, complete your member profile, open an active or upcoming league, and choose Join League. Upcoming leagues accept pre-registration; you can join an active league right away.

Your self-reported rating helps the league coordinator place you in the appropriate group. If Open is the league's only rating group, active-league registration places you there automatically. If the league has multiple groups, an admin assigns your group.

There is no fixed league schedule. Once you are placed in a group, use Find Players and Contact Player to agree on a time and venue, then use Add Scheduled Match to save it. Add your availability and preferred venues to your profile to make finding a match easier.

Either player can Enter Result for a completed match. Your opponent can Confirm Result or dispute it. A result appears in history and updates standings and ratings immediately as provisional. It becomes final when confirmed or when the response window expires; a dispute removes its effects during review.

FlexTennis supports best of three sets, two sets plus a 10-point match tiebreaker, and an 8-game pro set. Agree on the format with your opponent before you play; the score form explains the valid score options.

Updating your profile rating does not move you during a season. Your current placement remains stable for fair standings and championship seeding. An admin can promote or demote you when appropriate, and your updated rating is considered at your next placement.

Contact details are visible to members of your active rating group and league administrators. Visitors and players outside the group see the roster without private contact details.
